No matter what I do I cannot get discord to hear my mic

I did a mic test in the browser and it hears me, discord will not. I enabled all permissions, nothing. I turned on the compatibility option, and discord heard my microphone for a split second then nothing. I'd appreciate some assistance. I'm on the alpha build, on a pixel 8a.

KingOfTheHood if you could, try sending a voice memo or recording (in the discord camera, not an external app) to yourself, does the mic work then? That helps narrow down the issues.

turn off advanced voice activity in the discord audio settings.

you can manually press the push to talk option (it has to be activeated beforehand). this of course, is not practical but worked on my phone.
