How do I put a profile to rest so it's not running in the background?

Hi, friends. Just got graphene today, glad to be apart of the community! I've seen a few posts on here and reddit while lurking saying you can put a profile to rest when you switch to another profile. How do you set that up? Also, how do you get notifications across profiles? Thanks!

All the relevant settings are under Settings > System > Users when you're in the Owner profile.

Cross profile notifications require enabling Send notifications to current user

Dumdum So will every profile I open I have to "put to rest" or they will stay open?

Dumdum Hey, so I went to the user's, and I saw no option at all to rest a profile.

When you're in a secondary profile and you "want it at rest", swipe down to get to the in screen power button and just select " End Session". That shuts that profile down or puts it at rest.

Just note that you won't get any notifications from a profile at rest. So if you're running anything that you want a notification from, you need to just switch users.

If you want the profile to be put back at rest instead of running in the background, from the owner profile you can go to Settings > System > Users > *the profile you want to change settings for* > Allow running in the background and turn that off. When switching to another user, this profile's session will end and its data will be put to rest.

You can also keep running in the background on and end the session manually like c86 said.

other8026 Hey so I did figure it out, holding the power button and pressing end session works too. Thanks for the tip. Another issue I'm having is some profiles I have running in the background I'm not getting notifications for on other profiles, and I do have it set to send notifications to other profiles in profile settings.
