New GrapheneOS device is being planned?

I do have concerns about how GOS devs are planning to make a new custom variant of a non pixel device to be GOS compatible.

My main concern is will it be a worldwide available device like pixel is? For example if it's only for EU or US, then I'll get left out. That'll be horrible for me, considering GOS is basically the only OS which has Google Integration optional but streamlined, basically installing the app.

I was planning to buy a Pixel 9, should I now? Would I be covered until 2031? What happens if AOSP gets left in the dust and all manufacturers spins off android in their own way?

I don't see it as the end of the world for you. Buy the P9, use GOS as long as possible and if you have to flash Google back on there, do so. You can also sell the device if need be.
