Obtanium Error: "Downloaded package ID does not match existing app ID"

Hey everyone,

I'm running into an issue when trying to update Bitwarden.

When I attempt to update, I get the following error:

Downloaded package ID does not match existing app ID

Is this a known issue. Are there any troubleshooting steps? I did update fine a few times.

i faced this issues for different apps. the apps updated after 2-3 days after i receive these errors. I guess the keys were different.

I got the same message. Uninstalled Bitwarden and now I can't reinstall it through Obtanium. Whichever file I choose seems to install Authenticator instead? Can someone point me to the correct apk on Github for the PAssword Manager?

Bitwarden has moved Authenticator into the bitwarden/android repository, which previously only held the password manager app .
You now have to configure Obtanium to filter Release title for keywords.

Whatever I do, Obtanium installs Authenticator!

I'm a bit of a noob, but I cannot make this work.

Try adding bitwarden to Obtanium like this

Another option is: open Obtainium, press settings and scroll all the way to the bottom. Then press the square made of little squares. This will open a list of hard to add apps. Scroll to Bitwarden and press add to Obtainium.

Thanks for your help! I managed to get it working!

I downloaded the apk from elsewhere and installed it. Then found the app info which had version 2025.5.0 listed. I then went to add app in Obtainium and added '2025.5.0' to the 'filter realese notes by regular expression and that gave me a list of apks to download.

Might have been a crazy way to get it, but it seemed to work. Next time I will try your ways @Glacial2 & @OrangeMoose
