Swiss Postfinance App stops working as of today

I enabled secure app spawning again. Unfortunately, the new version 5.17.1 does not resolve the issue. I reported it to the bank - they will call me back. I will provide an update whenever I have one.

Our neo banks in switzerland are all doing very fine.

Seems like Postfinance does read this forum and is working on a solution.

To all in this thread: instead of disabling Secure App Spawning system wide, go to the settings page of the app and turn on Exploit protection compatibility mode. Then, please report back if this resolves the issues for this app.

the workaround was working for some time, but with the newer GOS version it doesn't work anymore.

I was thinking about opening my business account at yapeal instead, but there the selfie verification doesn't work on GOS.

Well UBS was not working for a while just recently. Postfinance had compatibility issues a few years back already. I closed my account there for this reason. Raiffeisen never had issues.

Anyone here who has tested the latest version 5.17.2, released on 2025-06-30?

I am still running on version 5.16.1 (via downgrade and manual download from Aurora store) which works fine. I am afraid to upgrade to break all my use cases, but I fear that my old version will be blocked at some time.

KarlKlammer do not upgrade yet. It is still not working with the latest version 5.17.2. Still the same error. Not sure if they really want to bring a fix or not. It's been close to two months now.

Confirmed that it's still broken as of 5.17.3. I left a 1 star review and complaint on the app store.

They just replied to me that they're aware of the issue and working on a fix. They say that disabling secure spawning will fix it but I think some others above have reported that doesn't help, and besides its a system wide setting that lowers security.
