I came to ask the same question and found it had already been asked before, so here's a bump.
I regrettably have a need to run a certified Android build on at least once device, so I'm thinking of putting the factory image on my old Pixel 6. I'm worried that this bootloader update might block my ability to put GrapheneOS back on it later.
