Molly/signal in app camera not working

Have physically removed the selfie camera.
This has resulted in the back cameras no longer working in the Molly or Signal apps.
The back camera works fine in all other apps.

Have done this before on a different device without grapheneOS installed and the back camera worked fine in all apps.

Does anybody know the potential cause?

I did the same thing, and have the same problem. Even after reinstalling the selfie camera I still get the camera unavailable error/notification in Signal/Molly. Which makes me think it needs to be recalibrated or something. If anyone has any insight I'd love to hear it.

I also did not find another issue on the signal issue tracker, that sounded like your issues

you probably need to ask signal for this/ make an issue (if you cant find one), since this is a signal issue and not an grapheneOs issue (i believe)

furthermore, in the issue it says the fix will be in the beta release soon or maybe is already,
so maybe try that/ look if it has been release yet

This does sound like it could be the same issue. Unsure how to test beta without downloading Google. Sounds like it will hopefully be resolved soon though. Thank you for your help.
