USAA thinks phone is rooted- how to check if true?

So when I opened USAA it said my phone was rooted, and that theyre not responsible for whatever happens if I continued. Now from looking into this it seems like, multiple times, an app has thought a phone with GrapheneOS is rooted when it's not, so I'm guessing that's the issue. But I want to be extra sure that something hasn't happened to my phone that I don't want, so where do I check or what do I do to make absolutely sure my phone isn't rooted?

If you have a standard installation of GrapheneOS and you didn't go out of your way to make a custom build, then it is not rooted. You can verify this with the Auditor app together with another supported phone, or with remote attestation using https://attestation.app

Sometimes apps search for:

actual rooting
unlocked bootloader
signs of custom OS

and say "Root detected!" when finding any of these. Sadly these terms often get mixed up.
