Should I Reset My Phone to Factory Settings First?

I got my phone in November of last year. Starting this week I've been hunkering down on deleting big tech out of my life and I'm just about ready to take the leap into switching to GrapheneOS. I wanted to know first if I should reset my phone to factory settings before doing so? None of the videos I've watched have said anything about it because I assume they're of the impression their audience is starting from scratch. Thanks!

anonyjane No, but it could help if you've severely messed with the device (using ADB). Otherwise the only settings you need to touch are some developer settings (all listed in the install instructions).

anonyjane No need. Everything gets wiped as part of the install anyway.

ignatius I don't think I've messed with it too crazy, just used it as a normal smartphone really. Thank you, if I shouldn't need to reset it then I think I should be good to set it all up tomorrow!
