Pixel 5a turning off after latest stable update

My pixel 5a is turning off by itself after latest stable update. Is anybody facing this issue?

My Pixel 5a was recently updated to TQ1A.221205.011 and I haven't encountered this issue. Perhaps it's something else?

It has to be the update nothing has changed software wise other than the update, the issue started right after the first restart of the update, so it has to be the new update having issues with something previously installed.

Encountering a similar issue with my Pixel 5. Since the update yesterday, my phone has just shut off by itself twice. I missed my alarm this morning because of it. In addition, after I manually power it back up the clock is set to the wrong time. Not really sure what's causing this.

I just tried something in my phone and so far it has not shut off again. I turned off the battery saver and so far so good. Not sure if it's a full fix, but is working for me so far.

I'm having the exact same issue. Random shutdowns after last night's update. Pixel 5a.

Oh, as a data point, both times when it happened the phone was plugged into a charger. Different chargers though.

Add me to the list, same version, but happens whether on the charger or not.

If there hasn't been any official updates, anybody know if it's possible to revert? I need my phone for work and today was NOT good! Just to get on here right now I've powered back on 4 times in 5mins, then it may go for hours.

This is only the 5a's doing this right? May have to find my 4a and put that thing back into service.

lfod14 I'm exactly where you are. I think it's 5 for me today. No pattern i can see. I'm happy to beta test something.... otherwise we need to find a way to roll back.

There's an open issue for this in the issue tracker. Also a new release was recently moved to stable. Maybe try the new release before reverting.
