I was traveling on a bus that unexpectedly had no power or usb outlets. I have a very low charge and was concerned my phone would die before i could meet my contact.
Someone near me offered to let me charge my device with a battery pack. There was a cord and it went to a fanny pack. I have no idea what was inside.
I accepted because of fear of being stranded. I plugged it in while the device was unlocked, which was a mistake, since locked can only charge and unlocked can also do things with data according to my settings. I also restarted while charging.
The person seemed young and not necessarily a hacker and seats seemed randomly assigned.
This person helped charge my phone up to 50 percent so I wouldn't be stranded.
What precautions should I take at this point? I did save logs from when I plugged in the cord, then reset. He also suggested I powered off so it would charge faster. I never selected any options allowing for data, that I recall. He never held my device, only a power cord.
I do not keep much important data on Pixel but I am still concerned. Should I reinstall GOS again? It was probably very stupid to do. Could this have infected firmware or anything in a worst case situation?
