I've just gone to open the GOS app store and the following message appeared, could anyone advise.

Wadder Could be related to server overload... have you tried again since? Or, most likely, it's an issue with your network. If you're using a VPN, then it could be an issue with that VPN. Whats your DNS set to? Are internet connectivity checks enabled in Settings -> Network & internet -> Internet connectivity checks? Have you tried switching them off and trying again?

I use protonvpn, the DNS is set to use their own resolvers and therefore I've not set a Private DNS. I've did check the connections and these appeared to be normal.

I should note I've not seen this message occur since.

Wadder thanks for the update. It sounds like it was a temporary network issue. I would t worry about it.
We quite often see reports of a similar issue if you care to glance over the discussion comment replies:
