My understanding is devices like these mascaraed as i/o hardware like keyboards, which almost all OS's allow by default. However, if you change your security settings to disallow USB peripherals in GOS, these devices shouldn't be able to do anything but charge the device. Though, you won't be able to use things like wired headphones or other peripherals anymore. The default behavior for GOS is to deny new USB peripherals while locked, which strikes a good balance of usability and security. For most threat models, this is sufficient.
