phone-company Yes the Pixel 9a is a secure device and I don't see why it shouldn't be. As far as I know, there are no differences in security between the high-end, mid-range and entry-level versions, I've read that the Pixel 9a uses the apparently less powerful modem of the Pixel 8 to reduce costs but I wouldn't worry, there was an article on Google Security Blog about modem hardening for the Pixel 9 but I remember reading in a discussion that it wasn't actually enabled, but I could be wrong, either way, the Pixel 9a remains a secure device and under GrapheneOS, you can always reduce the cellular network attack surface by blocking 2G, 3G and 5G, or leaving only 5G if your operator allows it or 4G+5G.
