I switched to GrapheneOS a couple months ago and everything has been working great! I do have a couple issues with Android Auto though.
Weird display issue:
With stock Pixel OS, when I reply to a text message, the Google Assistant interaction is in a small dialog that does not cover the whole screen and goes away when the conversation is done. But with GrapheneOS, the interaction takes up the whole screen (on my Audi) and most of the screen (on my Hyundai with a wide screen). Any ideas?
Contacts:
This has been mentioned in other posts, but not in a while. I am using Fastmail. I use Davx5 to sync my contacts. They sync to a contacts service in the Contacts app for Davx5, which is separate from my Gmail account, which is installed by the Google Play Services sandboxed app. My Gmail account doesn't have any contacts. All of my phone apps see my contacts and the apps work great. In my car with Android Auto, the Phone app sees my contacts and I can call them from the app on the screen. When I receive text messages, my contacts' names show up fine. However, when I try to tell the assistant to call or text a contact, it asks, "Who do you want to call?". As a test, I created a single contact in my Gmail account named "Bob". When I asked assistant to call Bob, it worked right away. So I think something in the chain between assistant, Google Play services, Voice Input (I've tried both FUTO and Google's). I know others have experienced this or something similar looking at Github and this forum. Any thoughts on how to fix or get around this?
Really the experience with GrapheneOS has been fantastic. There has been very little pain switching
Thanks
