Is there apps with these features?

Hi,

There are several apps if you know that have the features I want.

1- Gallery app, I tried "Aves" but I saw it has some connection to google servers or something like that so I uninstall it. Also, I tried "Fossify gallery" which is good but there is a feature I wish it has. I used to have Samsung phone and I really like their gallery espically they give you the option to make a group for photo/videos folders. if you have any gallery app that let you create groups for photos' folders I wish you tell me about it.

2- on screen text select, something like Samsung smart select that let you to select any text anywhere. there is app called instant traslate but it has reports about privacy when I check it in Aurora. So, if you have other trusted app I wish you tell me.

3- an app for shortcut. like screenshot short cut, or opening app shortcut and similar.

I don't know anything about these connections, but it's likely that Aves Libre won't do this.

Suddenly, I didn't try it because it asked me to log in, while I wanted to use it offline.
They might be trust worthy but I don't want to be forced to cnnect to internet and make account.

I haven't checked whether Aves really establishes connections to Google servers. But taking a quick look at Aves version comparison, connections to Google Maps for the Aves Map View or Crashlytics (optional) could cause this connections.

So if you if you otherwise like Aves you could:

Disable Crashlytics in Aves settings
Install Aves Gallery Libre (e.g. via Accrescent or F-Droid)
disable network access for Aves App info> Permissions> Network> Don't allow (Aves apparently only needs this for Map View - if you can do without it)

What's the difference between Aves and Aves libre?
Also besides connecting to google maps, F-droid says "the app contains libraries of Google mobile services" to be honest I don't underatand what that means.

Have you had a chance to take a look at the comparison I linked to in my last answer? The overview is very helpful to understand the different App versions.

I can't find the reference to F-Droid you mentioned - could you please provide a link?

(I do find the reference you mentioned in "Anti-Features" on IzzyOnDroid - but - if you take a look at the overview - that's a different version and not Aves Libre).

Shade One has proprietairy libraries build into the app, the other does not.
The libre app might have features missing that are normally supported by proprietairy services, but you gain the benefit of having software with a fully free license. (And no terms to be signed)
Correct me if I'm wrong.

Yeah sorry, I jump that link I thought you put a link to privacy report or to the app link. I didn't read that.
Yes it's on Izzyondroid, I added it F-droid app so I didn't notice I should focus more.

Fossify Gallery does let you filter media by Images, Videos, GiFs and other, which then hides/enables their visibility in their own respective folders.

I know but I want to make Groups for folders. like a group fo social media, and inside this group will be folders for Bluesky, Twitter, Instagram..etc.

Fossify let you view as "Group direct subfolder" but this makes another probelm because it uses the system path, so things lik Screenshot, Camera, social media, will not be able to move them to any path you wish for, if you move it simply when you save a new photo or take a new screenshot, it will create another folder in the old/defualt path.

"Tidy" is a great app (once it is synchronized, which may take a while depending on the gallery size) and works offline.
With lightning speed and a simple word you have access to that photo. "A brown bear sitting on a chair sipping a beer"
It is very similar to the tool that is embedded in the Samsung gallery I believe. (I don't have a Samsung phone, so I'm not sure)
Great tool, not updated sinds 2023 though.
