No compatible device found when trying to remove non-stock key

Hi all,

I'm trying to revert my Pixel 9a from GrapheneOS back to Google’s stock. As per instructions, I attempted to remove the non-stock key using the GrapheneOS web installer.

When I click "Connect" at https://grapheneos.org/install/web, I get this error:

"Error: Failed to execute 'requestDevice' on 'USB': No device selected"

And the popup window says: "no compatible device found"

What I’ve done so far:

Using Chrome on Mac

Enabled USB debugging in Developer options

Tried several data-capable USB-C cables and ports

Authorized the USB debugging prompt

Rebooted phone and PC

Still no success. The site won’t detect the phone.

Any ideas?

poupuj i would try installing the latest drivers and rebooting both devices again

poupuj Put the phone into fastboot mode and unlock the bootloader.

USB debugging enabled or disabled makes no difference here.

How should I unlock the bootloader?

I put the phone in fastboot mode. and got the following error:

Error: Bootloader replied with FAIL: command (erase:) is not allowed when locked

You will need to toggle OEM unlock in the developer settings first.
