Hello!
I'm wondering if there's a way to permanently disable the cellular radio of a pixel and still have it function over wifi. Naturally running Graphene. I fully understand that this would essentially turn the phone into a tablet - this is explicitly the point. At some point a pixel tablet will be released but as I won't be able to afford it when it first comes out that isn't an option for me right now. As of right now the options I'm considering are removing the cellular radio and some kind of custom setting that forces it to always be on airplane mode.
However, I wonder if removing the cellular radio would cause the phone to fail some sort of internal hardware check and not work at all. Is this the case? If that is the case the second option would be a software solution - some kind of permanent airplane mode that cannot be changed without a password or something. I'd prfer the first because naturally any software solution can theoretically be bypassed whereas there's simply nothing that can be done if the cellular radio is removed. Any information on this subject would be helpful! I've tried looking around on the Graphene website and in the forums but so far I haven't gotten an answer.
