Although I don't use this app (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=in.org.npci.upiapp&hl=en-US), I noticed a discussion in matrix regarding this app not working. I decided to check it out myself, and it looks like some library code crashes the app in some conditions.
But I remember an update to GOS which shows us a notification if an app triggers play integrity, where we can even decide if we want to simulate a internet failed like situation failing the integrity check. But using the BHIM app, no such triggers is there.
The only way to identify reliably that the device is not running GMS certified device is play integrity right? All others are hacks and hoops like the revolt situation? Can someone look into what this app does, and if they also decided to explicitly block GOS?
If they're explicitly blocking GOS, name and shame the govt.
