When ever I make calls from my Pixel 8a running latest stable GrapheneOS using a USB-c adapter with a wired headset, the headset disconnects after a random amount of time, usually 5 minutes. Both mic and audio disapears. If I disconnect, the sound goes back to the phone and I can continue the call. I can also reinsert the headset which then works for a random period of time.
If I start an audioplayer (foobar 2000) and play music, the headset stays connected for as long as I play music, so it would seem that it could be related to the dialer app or the way the dialer uses the network.
I have tried three different usb-c adapters: Fiio ka11, Emvel and an unbranded adapter. All three give the same result.
Does anyone know how to fix this problem?
PS:I'm not interested in bluetooth headsets, only in solving this problem, which by the way is driving me nuts
