Visible and US Mobile Carriers on GrapheneOS

This post is merely a datapoint. There have been discussions about Visible's abysmal mobile app on this forum. The app does not allow you to register an ESIM on GrapheneOS whatsoever. The reason for this unknown. You need to install their app on the default Pixel OS prior to installing GrapheneOS if you want ESIM support. However with US mobile, they merely provide you with a QR code on their website for ESIM registration. They even allow you to manually enter the carrier information into your device! This is flawless and does not require Google Services nor their app. In fact, I actually did not have to even do any of that to get my ESIM activated, it worked fine natively through the AOSP settings, presumably due to my IMEI.

I'm on US Mobile as well and I've never had any issues getting a new eSIM or using a pSIM. I've never used Visable though, so i can't commit on how GrapheneOS works with it.

Quick question though, as a fellow US Mobile user, do you use dark Star, and if you do, were you able to get RSC messages up and running? I had it working great on Light Speed, but when they came out with all the unlimited deals on dark Star I upgraded my plan and switched to dark Star, but I never got RCS to work since switching to Dark Star. I've tried just about everything. I'm seriously thinking about loading stock Android on my old pixel 8 to see if I can get it work without GrapheneOS, because I can't think of anything else to try.

matthewu1201 I believe I am on Warp (my phone shows Verizon as the carrier). I do not and have not ever used RCS. However, the issue is probably unrelated to GrapheneOS because I remember when I was researching US mobile as an option r/usmobile had several discussion about the poor quality of RCS on the carrier, with many of these people having iPhones and non-Graphene devices. I also do recall that one of the networks performs better in this regard. Search around that subreddit and perhaps you'll find something informative!
