n2gwtl The Amex app pops up a notification stating that for the app to work correctly, Google Play needs to be granted the phone permission. No thank you.
ignatius Cannot confirm. However, I actually prefer not having the apps installed nowadays. Everything works just fine within the browser and if anything gives you additional functionality with some institutions.
ACuriousFellow This is the second app reported in the forum, I can't remember the first. And I know my banking app raises a notification when I click on "manage cards" to give play services access to phone permission . Is this the same on your app?
Kiba I can confirm this because I've had the same thing for a few days now. That said, I didn't grant the authorization requested and the application works without a hitch. It just requires double SMS authentication every time.
geni101 Just noticed this my self on the Starling app when clicking manage cards. Just ignored it and does not see to be a problem.
looped_around This is happening to me in 2 apps after last few weeks. I don't give play any access, I just give the app phone access and it worked. I ignore the messages.I think amex app worked without it, but chase would not at all IIRC
