Regardless of whether your device suddenly consumes more energy for whatever reason – after a software update, energy consumption can be higher than normal for up to two days, and not just on Pixel phones.
iPhone users are particularly familiar with this, but it can also affect devices with GrapheneOS.
It is also possible that the mobile phone stations in your area offer less good reception than usual due to maintenance work and your Pixel is therefore consuming more energy – especially if it is suddenly located right between two mobile phone cells and is constantly switching cells. That costs a lot of energy.
And because the mobile modem in the Pixel is unfortunately not very energy-efficient, we notice this more quickly than someone with another mobile phone.
In my region I have this effect since February of this year.
Remedy: if possible, use WLAN (WLAN router or a spare phone as hotspot, set Flight mode on Pixel phone).
