Zormedin Elgoog I maintain the Owner profile solely for app installations because I don't permit installs in my other profiles. If my phone reboots, I can manually check for updates at least once every 24 hours. However, most apps auto-update since the profile remains active, ensuring everything stays current.
But you should be fine with the approach you described. It only has one disadvantage: The other profiles do not always run, so you might get delayed updates if the Play Store is in another profile (not the Owner and Run in background is disabled).
Thanks. I rarely use the Google profile, so the drawback I see then is that when I do switch to it, I might find I need to spend a couple of minutes on updates before I can use the app I wanted.
But am I actually gaining anything? Am I correct in understanding that by shunting Google services to the secondary profile and not allowing that profile to run in the background, I will reduce the amount of telemetry sent back to Google?
And a second follow-up question, if I may.... To my surprise, Google Earth runs just fine in my non-Google secondary profile (the profile I usually use). Am I compromising my privacy by having Google Earth here?
