The cited article says "It’s unknown when any of this will launch". I would be surprised if anybody here had special access to Google's timeline, and shocked if somebody with special access decided to leak here. So I can't imagine this being a place to find out when it will ship.

vincente213 It looks like this'll be part of AOSP. So when AOSP gets it, we'll get it soon after, since we port to new versions quickly.

Seems like that might be in some Android 16 QPR release, or maybe even 17, but we don't truly know. Google is known to take their time with this stuff. They've been fiddling with this for years at this point.
