Excuse me if I missed smth obvious. I am new to grapheneos.
I use my phones hotspot on a daily, and have other people connect to it all the time. I want to only give other people access when they need it, but be able to access my hotspot all the time.
My ideal set up would be quite simple. 2 seperate hotspots with each their own SSIDs and passwords. However, I understand that this is likely not possible.
On my old phone I handled this in the following way. I had one hotspot with one password. Then I would give everyone who needs to connect a one-time password, which was different every time. This it was a fine solution, even if I had preferred a static password.
I can't seem to find an option for a one-time password on grapheneos tough. Currently I am changing the password every time someone needs to connect. This is not really very convenient.
Is there any way I can get closer to my ideal situation? I am willing to make compromises and have accepted that I will most likely have to do that.
So far I have also tried to use TetherFi and NetShare to host the hotspot for me (I hoped their bigger feature said would help me), but neither actually gave me internet access.
On another note, the default hotspot does not seem to show the the total bandwidth consumed and what devices have consumed how much. This is not required for me but would be nice to have.
Thanks in advance!
