My Phone Went Nuts Last Night

So everything was up and running nicely on my 8a, when all of a sudden it started dinging like mad with notifications. I opened it up and it was continuously coming up with a warning saying 'This device isn't Play Protect Certified. Contact the device manufacturer or retailer and ask for a certificate'. It wouldn't stop. I eventually ended up just reinstalling for speed as I was due to leave for work. I have no idea what caused it, but it was concerning. I though Google had broken something in GOS at first! Has anyone else had this issue? My phone was pretty much unusable while it was like this. It's been fine so far after a fresh install, but I really don't want to have this problem again.

Did the notifications come from an app or the system itself? I don't see how the latter could occur tho

The Play Store (I think). I was in a rush and on my way out more less, so I didn't have time to have a proper play around with it.

Well the next time it occurs try disallowing notifications from that specific app. When you say that the phone was unusable, was that because of the noise from the notifications, or did was there an element obstructing the screen? Or perhaps there were so many notifications that it started lagging?

natoal Every time I tried opening anything or using the keyboard the app would close & the notification came up again again an again, just wouldn't stop.
