Good Morning,
I understand GOS works only for Pixel devices at the moment. I was thinking how we spend almost thousands of dollars on a device just so we have GOS integration. However, all this income goes to Google. Of course they manufactured device, so they receive our cash in return.
I was in some thoughts today, remembering Google's announcement of Pixels and often you can hear or see things like improved PIN brute forcing that is happening directly on hardware side.
Is it right to assume Pixels have better hardware security compared to other smartphone manufacturers? For example, if GOS would become compatible in the future with other brands, would it be worth looking at that side of things when selecting a device?
As of today, we have no choice. This question is just around how Google hardware compares to other smartphones when it comes to security.
Does anyone know if there was any comprehensive study done in this area?
