Background apps keep refreshing

I have a issue with my pixel 8 my apps keep refreshing in the background and its really annoying for example.if I have something opening brave I go to another app and come back to brave it refreshes within 20 secs. This isn't just with brave im using as a example its really frustrating.

Go into Settings app -> Apps -> Brave (or any of the other apps you experience this issue with) -> Battery usage. Make sure "Allow background usage" is enabled. Also double check you haven't enabled any battery saving functionality on your phone elsewhere.
