Whatsapp with Google Play or not

Hi,
What are the differences with using Google Play sandboxed with Whatsapp on a secondary profile compared to downloading a Whatsapp APK and install on a secondary profile? Better updates? In terms of data coming and going to Google is there any difference? Any differences in secuity or privacy? I've noticed I can't do the second auth security on Whatsapp from the APK only.

I would put all big tech stuff in the private space of the owner profile.

WhatsApp will use Google play services to serve notifications, so to an extent, data will be accessible by Google.

Delaney WhatsApp will use Google play services to serve notifications, so to an extent, data will be accessible by Google.

Depends on how WhatsApp has implement this.
It is possible to only use Google Play Services as a wake up and then send the real notification are safer way.
