Hi all, as always, my thanks to the devs for their sterling work, and to the mods for keeping this forum spinning.
I've set android auto up. Blooming fantastic. Lots to discover for me, I'm sure.
I presently favour open-source ebook reader apps. I have many fine, leatherbound .epub files in my collection, and android apps like "cool reader" and "librera FD have served me superbly, especially using "sherpaTTS" as the TTS engine.
Nothing makes a long drive go by like listening to an interesting book! Sadly I can't control TTS ebook playback via android auto using these apps.
Now that I've set up android auto, I'd really like an ebook reader app that lets me use at least the play/pause controls of android auto to play books to me. Bonus points if I can get even more control of the ereader app via android auto.
I'd love it to be FOSS, but I totally accept that to be android play compatible it might have to be a proprietary app.
My websearch-fu (and forum search) has failed me in answering this specific question.
Any suggestions are gratefully received. If any readers like stoic philosophy or statistical control in manufacturing or experimental design, I'm always keen for any book recommendations too!
Yours faithfully and with thanks,
D. Probodyne
