skype replacement for Graphene OS

Is there a VOIP app to replace skype on Graphene OS? It needs to be able to call landlines.

The original poster asked about replacements for Skype, which does support calling landlines, so presumably that feature is important to the original poster even if it's not something that everybody values. For example, if the original poster is using Skype to stay in touch with paying customers, suggesting that the OP "compartmentalize" is not likely to be helpful.

Use any regular FOSS VoIP app, the choice is yours. Then, when you need to call a landline, you can do so with either a separate app or seperate SIM card, potentially getting a second one if that's better.

I never said they shouldn't care, or that it shouldn't be important to them. Quite the opposite. It is because landlines are important to the caller I suggested getting an app for landlines that does it well, and an app for cases where he doesn't need a landline. I haven't seen many apps that do both well.

Then is it possible to provide the original poster with a recommendation for an app that is good at calling landlines?

I think the OP's concern is despite Microsoft offering migration from Skype to Teams (free), the landline calling features could be lost after May 5th.

Moving forward, we will no longer offer paid Skype features to new customers, including Skype Credit and subscriptions that allow you to make and receive international and domestic calls. Current Skype subscription users can continue to use their Skype Credits and subscriptions until the end of their next renewal period. Skype Credit users can also continue to use their remaining Skype Credit. After May 5, 2025, the Skype Dial Pad will be available to remaining paid users from the Skype web portal and within Teams.
