When I transfer data over the Wifi hotspot, my phone turns really hot. I mean, really really hot. I was surprised it was still running at all. Even if I just have Wifi hotspot turned on at all, and a device connected to it, even if I am not transferring any data at all, the phone is markedly warm, like how it might get when being charged.
The connected device is literally just next to the phone. I would only have expected really low signal strength to be needed. Yet, the phone never gets hot like this when it is connected to Wifi rather than acting as a hotspot, even if the Wifi router is several rooms away. Certainly, the signal strength would have needed to be higher in that case.
Why is the phone getting so hot? Is there anything I can do about it? Should I worry?
