Open_Source_Enjoyer Is the Pixel 8 really better then the Pixel 7? I think the camera of the Pixel 7 gets more colors especially if you make selfies or photos of other people and i have found a battery test that suggest that the Pixel 7 has a more efficient battery than the Pixel 8 source for the camera: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ZBgp_NF140&t=183s source for the battery test: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ZBgp_NF140&t=323s Especially for the battery test there are tests that point in opposite direction, so i am not sure what to think, i hope i can get more input from this forum.
de0u Open_Source_Enjoyer Is the Pixel 8 really better then the Pixel 7? In terms of security, yes. Edit: also in terms of support lifetime.
Open_Source_Enjoyer de0u In terms of security, yes. Are there significant security improvement apart from they improved facial recognition enough to use it for banking apps?
de0u Open_Source_Enjoyer According to the GrapheneOS FAQ: 8th/9th generation Pixels also bring support for the incredibly powerful hardware memory tagging security feature as part of moving to new ARMv9 CPU cores. GrapheneOS uses hardware memory tagging by default to protect the base OS and known compatible user installed apps against exploitation, with the option to use it for all apps and opt-out on a case-by-case basis for the few incompatible with it.
