Ebay app can't be installed on my pixel 9?

I just installed graphene on my pixel 9 and it won'tet me install the ebay app? It was installable on my pixel 7 running graphene? It say my device isn't compatible with this version.

It's fairly important I get notifications from ebay so it's a big deal. Why might it be happening and is there any fix? Thanks

Britishbluer You mean when you search for EBay it doesn't show up in the search results? That's what happens on my phone when I try. That means they have set something up in their Play Store developer settings that stop an app from being listed for devices that aren't certified by Google.

Open_Source_Enjoyer yes. I don't really use graphene to degoogle. Only for security and more control. Edit: also I'm trying to get it on the playstore, I don't use aurora

Britishbluer It doesn't work in Graphene anymore. Just use the Browser. Less spying anyway.

Do you know why it doesn't work? I would use browser but I won't get notifications if someone buys something which is pretty important for me.

I get notified by mail when someone bought something or asked questions.

It doesn't show up because GrapheneOS isn't certified by Google. Google Play just doesn't include EBay in search results and won't install it because EBay has set up their Play Store listing that way. Google markets Play Integrity as a security feature, so some apps don't show up or check Play Integrity and refuse to work. The apps should work on GrapheneOS.

You can try contacting EBay to tell them you are using GrapheneOS, which is far more secure than other devices that pass Play Integrity. They could permit installs again and permit GrapheneOS by following instructions found here: https://grapheneos.org/articles/attestation-compatibility-guide

other8026 I just downloaded the apk off apk mirror. Version 6.204.0.1 and it installed and works fine off there? Is it just a play store thing then that can be bypassed? I don't think I'll get any automatic updates though

I wouldn't suggest that since downloading from APK mirror isn't as secure as other options.

I'm not sure how it works now. In the past, people couldn't install Netflix from Google Play, but they could update it. Hopefully it still works this way. (And if you can update EBay using Google Play, that can indicate the apk you installed was the unmodified Google Play one.)

It may show up when an update is available. If Google Play will update it, it'll show up in the list and you'll be prompted before Google Play can update it.

n3t_admin yeah it's 100% working. The latest was 6.205.0.1 but I downloaded 6.204.0.1.

I logged into my Google account on it and can see all my listings and purchases and search stuff up. It appears all good

other8026 the app shows as the ebay on the store when I select it from my apps list. But it doesn't let me update it.

It just says "This app is no longer compatible with your device".

Following this one, as I couldn't get eBay installed onto my Pixel 8 without going the APK route. If it's possible to install it that way and then get updates from the play store that may be a workaround, if they ever adjust that.

I just realized that my app hasn't updated since February 11th. Is it problematic to have aurora store continue its updates?

floracapsule I don't think it should matter. The version from April 11 I downloaded off apk mirror is working fine.
