Clarfication from reading the user guide

Under the section "https://grapheneos.org/usage#bugs-uncovered-by-security-features" it states:

You can enable our exploit protection compatibility mode via Settings > Apps > APP > Exploit protection compatibility mode. The exploit protection compatibility mode toggle...

I do not see a toggle for this. I went to 4 apps: Calculaor, Browser, Gallery, PDF Viewer. None of them have a Exploit protection compatibility mode toggle.

They all have several settings under a "Exploit protection" section on the app info page (Settings-Apps-App-App info) but I do not see a compatibility toggle for this setting, can someone clarify?

Pre-installed/system apps have no reason for this compatibility toggle. Try looking at a user-installed app.

Wi-Fi and Bluetooth scanning for improving location detection are disabled by default, unlike the stock OS.

Both of these settings were disabled by default on the stock OS. Perhaps it depends on the phone and the OS version. It should be updated for accuracy.

The DHCP client uses the anonymity profile rather than sending a hostname so it doesn't compromise the privacy offered by MAC randomization.

The term "anonymity profile" is used here, what is being refereed to. There is no other mention of an "anonymity profile" in the rest of the document.

It also mentions hostname, so is this statement simply saying the DHCP client sends an anonymous hostname such as "hostname" rather than the actual hostname or is this statement referring to something else?

Was this feature only introduced in version of Graphene based on Android 15:

The setting can be found at Settings > Location > Location services > Network location. The available options are using Apple's network location service, or a GrapheneOS proxy to that service.

Thanks, I would imagine that this feature if it works well would be a great usability improvement for mapping applications.

moddel it shouldn't be needed if you have a clear view of the sky, but it can be useful when you don't or maybe in cities where there's a bad GNSS signal because of the tall buildings. Also for indoors. Additionally, network location assists GNSS so it may speed up getting a GNSS fix.

It'll work well in most areas as long as they have Wi-Fi access points.
