Open PWA links in Incognito Mode

I set up Vanadium to open all links in Incognito Mode by default to prevent websites from tracking all the time.

I have a handful of websites that I trust. So I added a shortcut to the Home screen so I can open them in full screen and stay logged in from one session to the next.

But all links opened from these Web apps open in a non-incognito WebView, so Vanadium end up keeping local data forever.

How can Vanadium be configured to always open links in Incognito mode? I don't care if it's in new tabs or WebViews but I only want to open webpage in Incognito except for the Web apps I manually added to my Home screen.

Not sure what you're suggesting. Can you elaborate?

I'm asking for a way to open links opened from a PWA into an incognito tab or view. The PWA itself cannot be in incognito mode since it's specifically used for keeping the local data of that Web app.

Here's my current setup and expectations:

Configure Vanadium to "Open external links in incognito" and add a Vanadium shortcut to incognito mode in Home screen (the idea is to stay in Incognito mode, always)
Go to https://news.ycombinator.com in a non-incognito tab
Tap "Add to Home screen" in Settings
Open the "Hacker News" shortcut in Home
Log into Hacker News account
Click a top link on the HN homepage, say github.com

Github will open in a Webview that's no incognito 🙁 and Vanadium will keep Github cookies and data until I delete data for all websites including Hacker News and other PWA I installed.

That defeats the purpose of using PWA in the first place and prevent me to choose which domain should open or not in incognito.

Instead, I want an option to open all links in Incognito (not just external links) except the shortcuts to web app I installed.

I would rather ask is there a way to automatically wipe PWA data upon exit, this could be a great settings. Additionally it would be great if we could add/install PWA shortcuts from incognito mode. Is all PWA separated btw?

I don't understand the point of installing a PWA if you don't intend to keep any app's data. Also, you should create a separate thread as your request goes directly against my suggestion.

I don't either. Why are you not just using a regular shortcut which is different from a PWA?

Pavestone2734 The user does not choose between of the website can be installable or not. If it's a PWA, the app can be "installed" otherwise, only a shortcut can be added to the Home screen. But in any case, it's opened in non-Incognito - which is okay with me.

But I think there should should be a way to set up Vanadium so all URL are open in Incognito except for the website/apps added to the Home screen (shortcuts or PWA). The problem is that all links opened from this added/installed app opens in non-incognito, which allows all these websites to remember my history (with local data). That's not helpful at all.

Perhaps I'm missing something, but I expected GrapheneOS to let us stay always in Incognito except for user-defined domains. That's how I use Firefox with Containers and the Cookie Auto-Delete extension. It's weird to have much less privacy with Vanadium…
