mobile management (MDM) and GoS

Hi, I am succesfully runnig several Pixels with GoS for many years.

Now I am looking for certain mobile management (MDM) functionality that GoS I assume is not offering since it is not a MDM solution. But since privacy and the control of my data is on the table, I am writing to check if any @admin or power-user can let me know what options exist that can co-exist with GoS.

I am looking only for this functionality (although MDMs do offer a lot more):
1) manage when the sim (only 1 sim installed) is on/off (based on a simple schedule)
2) manage which apps (only apps installed from Google Play, not system apps) can be used by the user within a certain timeframe too (same as the sim)
3) manage which apps (only apps installed from Google Play, not system apps) can the user install/uninstall

If GoS could offer just 1) would be enough for me since since I could restrict the ussage of most of the apps I am tracking.

If any of this could be achieved within GoS would be great. If not, maybe you can point me in the right direction (same as when I wrote some admin commenting in forum posts about avoiding the use of a vpn and using rethinkdns which is a nice tool) and how could I solve this dilemma.

If you are wondering why I am looking for this the answer is simple: kids. It is incredible but I could not find any solid solution for android to manage a "family fleet" from my mobile. I have not reviewed all MDM solutions but they offer what I am looking for not 100% (maybe points 2) and 3), but still have not found one for the sim management (so far I found 7sim, but it needs to be validated by GoS developers).

Google themselves build Family Link. As a guardian/parent, you approve every single app install, and certain Google apps (like Gemini or YouTube) outright won't even work if signed in with "kids" Google account.

In the past, multiple folks have asked us for "Parental Control" like features in Rethink, and so it is always our mind (though, on principle, I don't quite like surveillance, even of kids). We haven't quite got to it as of today (but we might, in the coming year or so). We may implement it in bits and pieces (for example, drop connections from apps after a preset per-day time limit / data use limit; auto-block installed domains & apps not suitable for kids etc).
