Can't Find Printer with Tablet. No VPN for user

I've got a 5+ year old Brother printer (HL-4570CDW with no ssl set up) attached to my home WLAN. I have assigned it its own IP address, but GOS fails to find it when I go to "Settings" -> "Add printer". When I try to add it by entering the printer's IP address, it says "No printer found at this address". I'm not using a VPN according to the settings and can connect to the printer via my tablet and computer's webbrowser.

Any help troubleshooting would be appreciated.

Looks like your model is not Morpia-certified (https://mopria.org/certified-products).
Here are some suggestions:

On your tablet - turn off, then on again Default Print Service. Sometimes this initiates the search.
Try adding the printer manually - the three dots, then Add printer > Add printer by IP address.
Try installing your vendor printer plugin app. E.g. - search Play Store for Brother printer.
Try sharing the printer connected via another computer, then try searching again.
Try the WiFi Direct printing mode than the infrastructure (currently you are using).
