Setting Kagi as the default search engine in Vanadium

I would like to set Kagi as the default search in Vanadium. All tricks that I have found here in the forum do not seem to work.

teezeh I have the app installed, and I'm logged in to it. I'm not sure if that's necessary though. I did 2 or 3 searches, then it showed up in Settings, Search Engine.

It didn't work right away and I started searching for answers. Then suddenly, the option was there.

I have the app installed, too, and I am also logged in. I also use the Kagi search widget on my home screen. But so far, Kagi has not appeared in my Search Enigne settings.

Alright, after another couple of searchs with Kagi, it has now apperead in my settings as well, so I was finally able to set it as my default search engine.
