I suppose the title for this thread could be better "How do I install the Proton suite without using the Google Play Store?"
I can see Proton Pass and Proton VPN in the F-Droid store, but not the other apps. I read some folks on this forum advise against using F-Droid, but I'm not sure if there is community consensus on this matter, or indeed what store we should be using?
I was able to install Proton Mail client through Obtainium. There are releases on Github here: https://github.com/ProtonMail/android-mail/releases
Now to find a method to sync my Proton contacts with my phone contacts (shudder).
I tried to install Proton Calendar the same way, but it said "Could not find a suitable release". Indeed, there are no releases here: https://github.com/ProtonMail/android-calendar/releases I then went to proton.me/calendar/download, downloaded and installed the APK directly. I do wonder how I would keep this app up to date, ideally automatically, any suggestions?
Feeling a bit lost in the desert here, any solutions would be welcome.
