I installed this app to give it a try, for recording voice notes and that type of stuff.
When first launched it says "You must confirm the folder where you want to save your recordings. Please press OK to continue." I click "OK". It then shows "Select a folder" and shows the "path"(?) Internal>Music>Recordings. "Internal" and "Music" are in white, "Recordings" is in blue. I tried clicking internal to see what was listed there. It shows "Android" with "3 items" below. I cancel, close the app and reopen to see what clicking "Music" does. Clicking "Music" makes the "Recording" one disappear. Again, I cancel, close the app and reopen. If I just choose the "+" (add) button/option at this screen, it opens a dialog box "Create new folder", under it says "Folder" and then the path "Internal/Music/Recordings/" with an empty field box below that says "Title" where you can create a folder to go on the end of that path.
Q: My question is basically; which of these folders are default system folders? Even though I didn't complete "creating a folder" in the app, did it create a folder called "Recordings"?
So after checking all this, I went to the "Files" app, then chose "Pixel 7a" from the hamburger menu thinking I'd see every... "main" folder on the phone, right? I see a "Music" folder and a "Recordings" folder.
Q: Are these both default folders, or did this app create one of them?
But inside of the "Music" folder, there is a folder called "Recordings".
Q: Is this a default folder, or did this app create this one inside of the "Music" folder?
Inside of the "Recordings" folder (not the one that is inside of the "Music" folder), there are no items.
Q: Is this a default folder, or did this app create it inside the "Pixel 7a" folder?
I don't want to mess up the file/folder structure. I don't know which, if any, of these folders the app made. I didn't actually tell it to make any yet. And I didn't make those.
It seemed/seems weird to me to have your voice recordings in a folder called "Music". I don't know why the app default shows the path "Internal>Music>Recordings", especially if there was already a default folder called "Recordings". Odd.
Q: I'm wondering, if this "Recordings" folder (the one on the Pixel 7a level, not the one inside of "Music") is actually a default folder for the built in call recording feature of GOS. Is it? And if so, why wouldn't the app show it as a "default location" to save to?
Q: When you open the side bar using the hamburger menu in the "Files" app, it shows: "Recent, Images, Videos, Audio, Documents, Downloads", and then a horizontal separator line, and the "Pixel 7a". Are these first options that are above the separator actual folders? Or just types of files that will be searched for when selected? I assume they are the latter, and they just search for file types (eg: .pdf, or .mp3, etc.)?
Thanks for any help.
