Hi everyone,
I'm experiencing an issue on GrapheneOS where the screen will turn off while typing my password, even though the keyboard is working fine. The issue happens after the device has been idle for a while and prompts me to enter my password instead of using the fingerprint unlock.
Here are the details:
The device requires a password after using fingerprint unlocks for an extended period of time from what I know.
Even though I've set my screen timeout to stay on for 5 minutes, the screen will still cut off while typing my password. It's a long password so it does take a bit but given my display timeout settings it shouldn't normally be an issue. And it isn't if I type it manually before it prompts me to use the password only.
The keyboard appears functional, but the screen will turn black or shut off before I can finish typing, and it doesn't unlock.
On rare occasions, I’ve managed to type quickly enough to hit enter before the screen shuts off, but it still doesn't unlock.
Restarting the phone or manually entering the password works fine after the restart, and then the issue seems to resolve until the next time it prompts for a password.
Has anyone else experienced this behavior? Any suggestions or potential fixes would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
