Play Integrity integration date?

Hi,

I've been reading the official documentation for Play Integrity integration and I can't figure out if the majority of apps are "forced" to switch before May 2025 (which is around the corner).

Currently, my greatest concern is that my banking app and Revolut will become incompatible with GOS which will make me consider going back to stock - or buying a second phone for the sole purpose of banking...

pandul they are being forced to switch from one API to another, not forced to implement it in any way. That's still their choice.

The change is deprecation, they aren't being made to use it.

pandul I don't believe anyone is being forced to use Play Integrity. Maybe you're thinking of this? https://developer.android.com/google/play/integrity/improvements

Here's a relevant quote from the page:

Existing integrations after May 2025: The improvements will go live for all integrations, with no developer work required. Apps that opt-in before May 2025 will not receive the temporary field that contains the legacy verdicts.

Interesting. So there's a chance that some banking apps won't use it...great!

Regarding Revolut, I suppose it's only a matter of time before it stops working 😅
