Contacts Names not displaying

Only the phone number displays for my contacts. Any suggestions?

Sagebath which app displays your contacts only as a number and how did you add/import your contacts?

In the default GOS texting app. I just typed it in manually.

Sagebath you need to grant Messages app access to Contacts in its permissions.

Sagebath Is the phone number in the contact the same string of digits as the phone number shown by the Messaging app?

Does the Messaging app have the Contacts permission?

I added contacts permission and that solved it. Thank you!
