I plan on factory resetting my phone. It is important that I backup important data/ profiles. While using the native seedvault backup function within GrapheneOS, I have ran into issues when using the backup locations of WebDAV, USB Flashdrive (random errors that prevented successful backups), which left internal storage as the only working option. I recorded my 12 words and my backup was able to complete successfully. However I need to get these off of my device to my NAS before resetting the phone. Within the /Internal shared Storage/ directory I found .SeedVaultAndroidBackup folder and have backed that up. I am wondering the procedure to import this backup to a fresh device/ profile, is there a good way to test this?
Current Plan:
- Export all of .SeedVaultAndroidBackup Directory
- Factory Reset Phone
- Place same .SeedVaultAndroidBackup folder into /Internal shared Storage/ directory
- Restore Backup
Any insight will be greatly appreciated, please let me know what has worked for yall in the past/ present.
