Thanks for testing! Unfortunately even with all those settings the same as yours, the game boots to the logo, dims, and hangs. The only different option you listed that I had not initially tested was the Secure app spawning, but that didn't seem to make a difference.
I'll add that I tried on a Pixel 7 Pro, with the same result: App instantly crashed without Exploit protection compatibility mode enabled, then with it enabled it hanged on the title screen / logo screen.
Which OS build are you running?
Also, can you confirm which permissions are enabled under "All Permissions"?
Notably, there are no write permissions even though I enabled Music and Audio as well as Photos and Videos. The manifest also asks for both READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE and WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE, and on an older Android 9 phone the permissions include "read the contents of your USB storage" and "modify or delete the contents of your USB storage."
I think I installed this app while the phone was still running Android 12, then the legacy permissions were kept through the upgrade to Android 13. Now that the APK was re-installed (both the update and the original 375 version afterward) the legacy permissions were lost.
Is there any way to force legacy permissions?
