AOSP keyboard app icon appearing for a second on new profile creation

Hello there.

New to GrapheneOS and certain I've made the right decision.

I noticed something a while ago and, being the curious bugger I am, want to know what it is.

When I start a new user profile, I notice an app in the app drawer that is there for a split second and then disappears. Does anyone know what that app is?

I'm not sure I've noticed that... I would certainly be interested in a video that shows that, if that would be possible for you. It's probably something the system's doing, but a visual of that might help me understand.

I'm going to assume you mean the app that says "Graphene..." on your screenshot.

That's the keyboard app. It's configured to have its launcher icon hidden by default, but I assume that on profile creation, it takes a split second for that to be applied, so you see it and then it goes away.
