At this point, "preserve user privacy" is something they just add to avoid lawsuits and for quoting when sub-poenad by Congress.

Correct. Even though google is the biggest privacy offender in the world, they're whitelisted for all their own privacy violations.

this year we introduced a “Verified” badge to help users discover VPN apps that take extra steps to demonstrate their commitment to security

unrelated but i think it is kind of interesting thaf their second badge is this? i mean were there like a lot of shady vpn services lately?

i feel like idk banking badge would have been much more usefull for example.

edit: i mean that just sounds like marketing and not really usefull at all
