How To Encrypt Files

Hi all,

I am trying to encrypt a folder before I send it. On desktop this is easily done with 7zip, Veracrypt or LibreOffice. I am struggling to find a way of doing this on android. I would like to have a password protected folder that I can email to someone who can only unlock it with the password. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Dr-M Cryptomator is really powerful, but if you choose it, take the one from the website https://cryptomator.org/downloads/, you can use it on other devices even without a Google account.

Hi,
You also have OpenKeychain. I don't know if this is as secure as cryptomator because the application is no longer updated on the functionality side (https://github.com/open-keychain/open-keychain).
You can encrypt files (or a zip file) via a gpg key or simply a password (symmetric key).
You can then decrypt the file on linux for example with "gpg -d [input_file] > [output_file]".
